I'm considering changing my wheels and I want to know would 225/40/18 offset 38 fit my C4?
thanks

Not without spacers, sure we have had this conversation before.

ET25 minimum, anything with a higher number means it is further towards the middle of the car and thus the brake calipers.

Yeah I know but that was for narrower tyres than 225's, would they be rubbing off the coilovers? Thanks but roughly what mil spacers would you need?
thanks

225's are what all of us with 18's run. Don't rub on mine. Mine is effectively ET5 which is virtually flush to the arches.

If you want that kind of look you are looking at 30/35mm spacers pretty much. Otherwise 13mm to get it back to stock. I think once you get to 15mm they go up in 5's usually.

Erm - as long as you like them, that's the main thing.

I just can't help but think that somewhere, there's a Jag up on bricks

Lovely wheels, just not on a C4.

You obviously don't know much about wheels if you think there off a jag

From the limited view offered in your pic, they look like the sort of wire rims you used to find (and which would far more appropriate) on a classic Jag.

Wire rims look good, but are a pig to clean. I toyed with them for my Rover 75 as I thought that style of rim would complement the classic look of the car quite well (plus I knew people with 75s who had already done it, so had the benefit of a real-world example to work from, but the maintenance needed to keep them looking good put me off the idea.
