Hi, Looking to put a towbar on the C4, would prefer standard flange type towbar but am unsure how much of the bumper will need cutting to accommodate.

Has anyone got any pics of a VTS with flange type towbar or a swan neck fitted?

Thanks

Hi, mines a 180 "S" but the towbar should be the same.
you can see the mount in the middle of the rear valance, and the only cutting was underneath out of site.

If you're thinking of a fixed towbar...particularly a flange type as you suggest - think of the possible consequences of the parking sensors... they'll more than likely be going off constantly with reverse selected.

The C6 has a switch to turn front and rear sensors off, pity the C4 didn't so you could simply switch them off when the tow hook is in.

They do have switches to turn them off. Front and rear are separate switches. To be fair, you would have to turn them off if you have the tow hook on anyway. Not just for the tow bar, but for whatever it is you are pulling.

Right next to the Alarm switch and headlight adjusters if you have them.

With my VTR+ I fitted a Citroen Swan neck tow bar but I used a cheap caravan wiring at £15. Mine works as normal when I reverse and only bleeps when i`m reversing with a trailer

For info for others, i had a flange type tow bar fitted and the parking sensors do not pick it up and work as they should.
