Hi guys, I'm trying to get some 18" alloy wheels for my C4 hatchback. I'm getting confused, the guide on here states about a 25mm offset, and only going to 7J size, now the wheels I'm looking at online state they fit the car. However they are 8J and come with hub centric spacer of 15mm, they are offset 40mm wheels. How does this work, would the 15mm spacer bring the offset of the wheels from 40mm ET down to 25mm ET, making it the correct size to fit my car.? Or do I need 25mm spacer to make it fit. Confused and frustrated C4 owner. |

I read that guide, this is why I'm confused. The guide states "After-market wheels can go to 18" X 7J so you could go to 215 or even 225 X tyre width - C4 owners who have done this confirm that the tyres won't rub as long as the correct offset is maintained." I was looking online and most sites are stating, example, 18" x 8J will fit your car Citroen C4 04-10 model. Like I say though in OP the guide here also states 25mm ET for C4, the wheels I can buy online are 40mm but come with a 15mm concentric spacers. |

18x8 fit fine I had them on my own C4. Even had 20mm spacers and was lowered a lot on coilovers. I would honestly say ET15 would be better from a stance point of view. 225/40/18 are the correct tyres to run. With ET the smaller the number the further out the wheel gets. ET40 If you put it on without spacers is highly likely to hit the suspension. As it pushes the wheels further into the wheel arches. ET is measured in MM. For a visual idea although not 100% accurate. With regards to suspension positioning etc. - Click Here - |
