Hi everyone. I have a C4 Picasso Exclusive 2.0l. It has the auto/manual gearbox. I think the actuator is faulty as it won't go into gear and stays in N. My husband hates my car and thinks it's a money pit but I love it. He wants to sell it as it is. Can anybody tell me a price I may get selling it with this problem and also how much it would cost to repair the actuator and where would be best to take it please? Thank you |

Year? Still under warranty? Mileage? Petrol or Diesel? Service history? Good condition? MoT? Actuator repair: say, 8 hours labour plus parts plus VAT. Could be over a grand at a Citroen dealer. Make sure there's a substantial warranty with any work carried out. Example from another thread: the gearbox actuator "malfunctioned", 3 weeks ago, the sign of this was my car was not staying in gear whilst in auto mode, and kept going back to neutral. This time I took the car direct to Citroen garage, the service manager, who was very helpful, advised this would be £1200! Also: - Click Here - |

Hi it's a 2006 diesel with 98000 miles on. It has a couple of dint on bodywork but just spent over £300 on new front brakes and a battery. It has full spec ie sat nav, dvds in headrests, fridge multi change cd player. It's a beautiful car and I really don't want to loose it 😢 | ||||

Well, if the gearbox was OK, I'd say £3,000-£3,300 if you traded it in with a complete service history. With a faulty gearbox, you could be looking at £1,500-£1,750. But don't take my word for it - get other opinions. |
