How can I tell the rear bearing centre size?

 Hi,

I need to do the discs and pads on my '06 plate 1.6HDi VTR+. I can see through the wheel that the caliper is the Lucas type, but is there a way of telling the bearing centre size (25mm or 30mm) without taking the disc off?

 If you're replacing the discs, the correct disc includes the bearing.

Or is there some special reason you need the size?

 Did you ever find out how to determine the bearing size ? or where to apply the VIN to determine this ?

 The Lucas/TRW bearings were either 25mm or 30mm. Discs are supplied with or without the bearing.

In the case in question in this thread, the bearing size was 25mm.

From the VIN, Part No: "5176.30 Rear Wheel Swivel Diam 25"
