Does anyone know if the CD genuine Citroen autochanger will fit in the new 2010 Loeb? and any instructions on how to do it? Thanks! |

Will need the inlay for the arm rest and the correct wire. Simply plug it in at the rear of the headunit and then get the dealer to configure it by enabling the cd changer port. |

Personally I would fit the USB Box instead as the CD changer won't play MP3, only the head unit so your limiting yourself to 5 CD's of music when you could put 1,000's of tracks on a USB stick.

I would go with Dave, as I never used my CD changer as it was unreliable to be honest.

I agree - MP3 is definitely the way forward.

You add what is called a USB box to the atereo around £120 to premier members. Fair bit more if you pay retail. That plugs into the CD changer port and then gives you full control of an iPod / iPhone through the standard stereo. Can also use USB sticks etc. Steering controls etc will work fine. The stock headunit is MP3 compatible so you can use 1 MP3 CD. The CD changer can't read MP3 files so you have to use regular CD's in that. |

As it's a 2010 model, is the USB Connection already there in the centre console next to the cigarette lighter, or is it an 'optional extra'?

i was under the impession that the unit was already mp3 compatible, and that the 2010 models didnt have any optional extras? (apart from black pearl paint) how easy is the usb box to add? i have a grande punto sporting before my astra and it had a usb in the glovebox and was awesome, just whacked the mp3 files in a music folder and had full steering wheel controls and 16gb worth of music! :0 |

I'm repeating myself here but... Yes the HEAD UNIT CD player is MP3 compatible, but the CD Multichanger isn't. The maximum number of tracks you can get on an MP3 CD is about 120 so about 5 albums worth which is why the USB Box option is better. There's a full FAQ on the USB BOX here: - Click Here - |

C6 Dave wrote ... As it's a 2010 model, is the USB Connection already there in the centre console next to the cigarette lighter, or is it an 'optional extra'? On my 2010 Loeb, there isn't a built-in USB socket... which helped me decide to change the head unit. |
