Hello,

I currently have 225 45 17 tyres on Phoenix wheels (2014 C4 EDHI 115 Exclusive)

I have some 205 50 17 winter tyres, will they fit on the Phoenix wheels?

I have used the Tyre Size calculator and there is a slight difference in speed. Can't find any information if the winter tyres will safely fit.

Alternatively, will Resolfen wheels fit on the new car?

Are the Phoenix wheels 7J?

Sorry there are a few questions there

Regards

Mike.

225 45 17 would fit a 6.5J wheel (would be at maximum allowable) so not sure if the Phoenix are 7J or not.

Will try and find out tomorrow for you but given that they are 4 stud fitment, a set of Resolfen should fit and the 205 50 17 should fit the Phoenix

A spare set of rims is preferable as it gets expensive swapping tyres at £10 a time so costs me £80 a year to swap the C6's tyres from summer to winter and back again......

Well it looks like I was wrong. The 'Phoenix' appear to be 7.5J looking at the image below. If you take a wheel off the car you should find the info cast into the rim on the inner side to confirm.

There's also the issue of whether your insurance company will allow a change of tyre profile or class it as a modification.

My current one won't - and so I have to stick to the expensive 205 50 R17 W on my VTR+ ....

Thanks C6 Dave and Grandad for the information.
When I get chance I remove a wheel and check the wheel size.
I don't have the 'proper' jack as yet

Have you not got a trolley jack at home, or a friend who can lend you one..........
