Reset a C4 Cruise control with a service lamp and "Speed Control System Faulty" error message
Answer
Early models are known to have the cruise control on a C4 fail with a service lamp and "Speed Control System Faulty" error message
This is a known issue on C4 and simply requires a software upgrade
You can apply a temporary fix by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, then re-connecting it and forcing the whole electronics system to reset itself but this is only if you can't get to a dealers to have the upgrade applied.
Don't forget to take the spare key and the key code card with you as for a full software update they will be required
