Anyway, despite the price I don't regret buying these at all. I am still using the same bits of black sticky tape after maybe 8 or 10 trips across the channel and I leave the guards on permanently in the UK, and feel much protected - replacing headlamps after a stone chip or the like would be very costly. Since they replace it I have done 700 miles and not once has this error appeared again, it used to flag every 30 miles or so.
This is my first post so hope I have the forum correct and in the best place for people to find it.

My tip for removing the bulb is to pull the connector off first. What I want to know is... If I buy a replacement key blank and casing from Ebay (around £9) and I get the key blade cut and put the innards from my current fob in will this work or is the actual blade coded in some way?
