Know if I need headlamp beam deflectors for a UK C4 in Europe?

Thank you all very much for this information so quickly. It has put my mind at rest. If anyone from Citreon reads this, perhaps they might suggest that they include this information in the UK Owners Manual, as it would save a lot of trouble.
Thanks once again guys, it is much appreciated.

Convert UK C4 Headlights for Continental Driving

Thanks for posting this. In fact I bought the same headlamp guards when I bought my C4 in April '09. I was shocked by the price but my local Citroen dealer was very open to negotiating the price and I think I ended up paying £35. The pack was very dusty and had obviously been cluttering up their shelves for a while. I think they were glad to be rid of it.

Anyway, despite the price I don't regret buying these at all. I am still using the same bits of black sticky tape after maybe 8 or 10 trips across the channel and I leave the guards on permanently in the UK, and feel much protected - replacing headlamps after a stone chip or the like would be very costly. I never found re-using the standard stick-on adaptors very satisfactory on my earlier cars and only got a couple of trips out of them at £6 a pop, so in fact this kit has already well paid for itself.

C4 Brake Switch causing ESP/ABS fault or Speed limit error message, Switch replacement guide.

I had this exact problem with the ESP/ARS appearing on the dash and subsequently found this web site. (but was not a break switch problem). I thought I would add to this so someone else may benefit from my experience.
I took it to a citron dealer, They said it was to do with the exhaust dump valve ( If I remember correctly, something to do with a valve that diverts gasses back into the manifold when idling, hope I have the name right!)
Since they replace it I have done 700 miles and not once has this error appeared again, it used to flag every 30 miles or so.
This is my first post so hope I have the forum correct and in the best place for people to find it.

Change Headlamp Bulbs in a C4 Coupe or Hatch and what bulb types are used?

C4s with automatically activated headlamps have the bulbs turned ON more often, so reducing their lives. My first C4 SX had manual lights did not need a bulb in 2 years. My current vtr+ with auto headlights has needed both dipped beam lamps changed within 6 months.
Also, all bulbs are not of equal quality. Decent bands will last longer.

My tip for removing the bulb is to pull the connector off first. The wire clip can be then disconnected from the top only and left to swing on the bottom mountings. the clip cant be lost in the lamp if its still attached.

Right bit of confusion here on my part.... My key has also broken, along with many others as I gather.

What I want to know is... If I buy a replacement key blank and casing from Ebay (around £9) and I get the key blade cut and put the innards from my current fob in will this work or is the actual blade coded in some way?

Thanks in advance.

Chaz
