I enjoy early mornings, the best time of any day.. rise and shine at 05.15 at work for 07.15 .. early birds an all that... Anyways Sundays is double time so helps pay for the new mota !o@k I do have a lay in, till 7.00 am on Saturdays ... (a bit) I'm usually up 6.30 - 7.00 am everyday and never much in bed before midnight and I only do 'real' work Monday to Friday Don't see the point in lying in bed all day - but don't mind lying on a sunbed in the sun (if we ever get any) |

Okay we are now two weeks into ownership of the C4 Cool 1.6 HDI Hatch.. and we are still delighted with her.. First day in the wet all day.. !cloud and I have logged my first "issue".. tis only a minor one.. the dreaded windscreen wiper judder The passengers side.. blade wobbles and vibrates as it sweeps the screen.. it clears it okay.. but you can clearly see AND HEAR the damn thing juddering .. No smearing that I can see.. just seems a lack of pressure on the blade rubber itself.. Anyways... have written it on to the 1st ( free) service booklet.. comments sheet so I can live with it till then. ( likely September) The good bits... continue..... Well the fuel consumption is just brilliant !! see the photos below.. Had I still got the Xsara. I would be half way thro the 2nd tank of fuel at this mileage... and I still got a way to go yet !! The trip average consumption is VERY impressive... far exceeding the gov't figures, and remember this is ALL town /city driving !! I am pleased to say, no rattles , no shakes.. ( cept the squeaking windscreen wiper) nothings, broke ( touch wood) nothings fell off.. I am now gaining confidence with the higher driving position, reversing is improving... though I still have difficulty with the bonnet.. as one cannot see where it ends. We are VERY HAPPY with our COOL C4 |

thought just shy of 39mpg was pretty good to be honest and it goes on the motorway every weekday morning and then sits in stop start traffic with a nice B road in the middle...I think that covers all angles on my commute to work! | ||

Stu, 39 is decent return for a petrol.. though I avoid motorway in the week as its a car park.." spaghetti jctn" With a Hdi.. I have got used to much higher mpg... and a necessity as I am paid a mileage allowance for work..so everything I can squeeze out of a tank helps pay the bills. To be honest I have only had 1 blast up the motorway...in the 2 weeks we have had it. (makes a mental note- must do more often to run the new engine in) |

YOU WUSS!!! you filled up with 74 miles showing to empty, what kind of fuel station bingo is that, its not even close to empty til it shows zero! You'd have got at least 750 miles out of that tank.... pah! |

The C4 doesnt every show 0miles left...just doesnt give you a reading after a while... !sad Does make the game a little more interesting if you go the amount of miles from the last reading!!! |

Anyways.. it proves it does over 60 to the gallon... so who cares... |

My Alfa was great, all the dials were recessed into the dash so the boss can't see how fast, how little fuel etc.. but the trip would grass me up by shouting out about a restricted range... then the thing would change its mind and go quiet again, but the damage was done, lecture time! i hate filling up, its a complete and utter waste of time, there has to be an easier way... i tried letting the missis do it when she borrows it, but the grief takes longer than the filling up. Still its not as bad as LPG, that takes ages to fill a decent tank. |
