When I got my GP I ordered a set of OEM roof bars as they usually fit better than the aftermarket ones. All went well (easy to get on and off, good load capacity, seem secure) until I needed to use my Thule roof box. Turns out the bars are wider than standard and my fixings would not pass round the bars. There are no T-tracks either so that was not an option.

A quick dash to the local Thule dealer solved the problem, but I am not inconsiderably worse off and have two sets of bars.

Moral of the story - check that the fixings you have are compatible with the bars you own or you might be stuck.
