Well I have just completed the 2500km return to the UK Christmas trip and I am pleased with how comfy the GP is. I'm afraid I still miss the Touran's autobahn storming capabilities (180kph no problem, same BHP), but outside Germany (or in the cr*ppy weather on the way back) its great.

Overall economy around 44mpg (including a good few km at 100mph plus), but my car has only done 5000km. Comming back in the snow fully loaded with a roof box I managed 45mpg so not too bad.

Things I like:

Speed limiter (great for Belgium)
Ease of switching from kph to mph
Comfortable seating
Smooth ride
Headlights
No centre console
boot pack
fuel economy
USB box so the kids can listen to their DVDs

Not so good

Stability in crosswinds and at speed
view through the rear window
fixed washer jets (mine miss a large patch of screen)
Fully loaded hill climbing (compared to Touran)

All in all well pleased

Joe
