the back end looks different from that 3 quarter shot and i quite like it

Is that not because you are used to looking at a Coupe, and that's a Hatch?

Good question!

They're both LHD as the reversing and fog lamps have switched sides.

We got here more or less ok, more on the later when I'm not typing on my iPhone.

The car is amazing. I love the EGS, the cruise control, the space in the boot, the seats (16 hours in them - continuously, basically - and not feeling too bad!)... Even the pano roof is nice. My wife and I both love the front/rear parking radars.

Small jiggles: my iPhone + USB box doesn't display titles. Not sure why. And I would love if, on Auto, the headlights always came ok while starting and went off when the car was turned off. The headlights - brightness-wise - are great.

More later! Photos, too.

You can get your dealer to set them to 'Daylight running' so they are constantly on

Have you selected and held down the TA/PTY (Traffic announcements/Programme Type) button and selected "Documents"?

More in this thread: - Click Here -

If Documents is not listed, you may need to return to the dealer to get it activated.

The headlights in Auto mode will only come if it's dark or in daylight, if the wipers trigger them in the rain, or are you talking about 24/7 daylight running?

And they should definitely go out in Auto mode when the key's removed.

Unless it's all been changed. What does the Owner's Guide say?

If they stay on indefinitely you'll need to go to the dealer to unset the daylight running lights. BUT there is a setting in the menu called guide me home lights and this can be set so the lights stay on for upto 30seconds after the ignition is switched off. Are you sure its not just this function keeping your lights on?
