Just received a letter from my dealer regarding a recall for my
C4 Grand Picasso 2.0HDi Egs Exclusive:

"As part of Citroen's Quality Assurance Procedures it is necessary to fit
extra protection to the engine ECU.
This operation is considered essential and will be carried out free of charge."

Recall notice YCD.
Also Recall notice YCQ refers to a software upgrade. (li!)

You heard it here first......................

Thanks for that info

It depends on how much of a safety issue it actually is if it makes it to the VOSA database

Software updates won't usually

you would have though they would have learnt the lesson from the C4, the earlier cars (mine was one) had to go in for that.

And for those who are still awaiting delivery, you would hope that upon hitting the owners driveway they dont receive a letter to say that it now requres a recall...

Do you think Jo Public are the R&D Engineers for Citroen?

Does anyone know if that recall also applies to the 1.6HDi?

I had a call the other day from the service centre saying there was a recall to address 6 issues (some safety related) on my C4GP 2.0 HDi EGS. They weren't specific on the phone but it has been collected today. Maybe they will tell me what the issues were when it returns.

Hi Georgi....

Think it depends on the build date rather than engine type......i have a 2.0 petrol built in May/June and didnt need any of the recalls doing! Best to check with your local dealer.....give them the VIN and they can look on their computer and see.

Read about this one in Auto Express this week:

VOSA linky

Concern :
RISK OF PARTIAL DE-BONDING OF GLASS PANORAMIC ROOF MOULDING.

It has been identified that, in the event of incorrect bonding there is a risk of the partial release of the glass panoramic roof moulding, such that it becomes visible to the driver. If the concern is not rectified, in the long term; the moulding could detach. It should be noted that, there is no risk to the integrity of the sealing of the affected area.

Remedial Action :
Recalled vehicles will have the bonding of the moulding checked, and replaced as necessary.

Make: CITROEN

Launch Date : 01/08/2008
Numbers Involved : 367
Build Start Date : 28/02/2007
Build End Date : 28/06/2007

Hi.
Interesting call from Evans Halshaw in Sheffield today wanting to book my baby in to have some outstanding recall work done.
Seeing as I live several hundred miles away I declined on the grounds my local dealer can do it.
They mentioned that it was a fairly quick job. Involving installing some adhesive film in the engine compartment.

Any ideas guys???
