One of the parking sensors on our C4P has gone bad. Do new ones need to be programmed with Lexia of Diagbox?

TIA
Stuart.

I never did find the answer, but in the sake of continuity the problem was simply solved.
It was caused by lacquer flaking off the sensor. Peeling it fully off cured the problem.

Just to add to this - no the parking sensors are not coded to the car.
You can access behind the bumper either from underneath or behind the wheel arch (unscrew the trim first).
Then you unclip the wiring loom and unclip the parking sensors.
They're all individual.
They're all different part numbers (except the centre two on front bumper are the same as each other, and the centre two on the rear bumper are the same as each other).
So you need to match the correct part number to the one you're replacing.

Then just swap it out and you're good to go.
No coding or programming needed.

That's a good question. In most cases, these are just plug-and-play components. As long as you match the part number exactly, you should be able to swap them out without needing any diagnostic software.
