Hi, My car has now done 118000miles and by and large I heve serviced it myself since 20000 miles. I have an orange SERVICE light and I dont really know why but I think I am beginning to realise I have missed something.

Firstly I have never heard of EOLYS but, having searched this site I have found out a little more.

Which fluid should I be using?
Is there a maintenance guide for carrying out the refil?
Is there a filter that needs replacing?

I get an error code P242F Particulate Filter Worn

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

You should check differential pressure inside FAP to really see how much it is clogged.

At 118k miles, it is highly likely that your additive tank is empty or the FAP is reaching its end of life. For the fluid, you need to check the color of the click-connectors on the tank or the build code (RP No) on the door pillar, as using the wrong EOLYS type can cause issues. You will also need a diagnostic tool like Diagbox to reset the additive counters once refilled, otherwise the service light and P242F code will remain active even with a full tank.
