Hi everyone, newbie here. C4 Grand Picasso 7 seater 2012 1.6 VTR HDI I've just bought this car, 70k miles, fsh, vgc.
However after about a month of everything being fine the heater blower has started coming on intermittently, full blast and pressing the control buttons to tutn it down does nothing. Then it stops just as randomly. Also, sometimes the fan controls don't so anything to increase or decrease the fan speed. Its the model with a manual temp control knob, not the digital one. Any help would be very much appreciated. I'm not very mech minded but willing to have a go if not too involved. Please help, winter is coming and I don't want to be without a working heater system! Thanks

Hello, probably issue is with blower resistor. This is also indicator that blower fan will die soon.

It's a genuine safety concern heading into winter without reliable heat and demisting!

So next question, is where is the fan and resistor? is it worth replaceing both as it sounds like one causes the other to fail?
