Have tried to remove egr valve on my 2013 c4 picasso 1.6hdi mk1, unscrewed 2 torx bolts and unplugged it but it won't shift, have tried jolting the alloy body with piece of wood and hammer to loosen it but no joy after 2 attempts at this, according to utube it should come out with a wiggle but it's not ,any hints/ tips please, did think about half undoing bolts and turning engine over to " blow it out" any thoughts.

I've just done this very thing and had this very problem, it was a pig to get out
I managed to get it turning using a punch on the flange and after lots of too and fro it eventually came out, lots of WD40 helped

115K and it came out in one piece, I stripped it, cleaned it and put it back in and it's worked since, carbon build up on the shaft from the activator motor is the problem with these
