I am the new proud owner of a RHD GP 2011 it only has 59 k miles but lots of things have broken which I am slowly fixing. The biggest issue right now is the the aircon nearly works, but the air distribution doesnt.

I have found the issue I believe.

I dissembled the driver foot well and found the motor and the mechanism that does the air distribution. I also found on the carpet a piece of broken plastic.This broken piece is half the socket that the hex drive fits into, so obviously the hex drive then spins without moving the flap.

I opened and tested the motor and its 'does' work after you power it off and back on it seems to try and move one way then the other to find the full extent of motion of the flaps.

I have searched online and cant find that you can buy this piece individually - which is really worrying me. It seems to come with the whole air box distributaiotn behind the dash mechanism.

Does anybody know how to remove this white plastic triangle (not the one that seems to have a reapir kit)

Does anybody know how the motor works? i assume in a similar way to other models. It seems to do this 'finding' calibration but then no motion after pressing the sir distribution button. I suspect because it hasn't found the full extent because it found no resistance in one direction.

The flap moving by hand is a little stiff at points but moves freely enough and works the air moves to different vents

I am nearly sure its the broken plastic that is the problem.

Suggestions of what I do now I fix this? I have already tried super gluing it and leaving overnight but it broke straight off on the reverse pass of what I think is the calibration motion.

If I glue the hex drive into place then what if the motor breaks I will never be able to remove the motor
