2009 C4 Picasso diesel manual. So I changed the battery and now it seems to be necessary to put the clutch in when trying to start the car otherwise nothing happens other than a fan like noise. It's my daughter's car so I don't have too much access to it but I think it's related to the handbrake being on as I think when it's not then starting is normal. I stress the word "think" as I've not been able to do any thorough tests to confirm this theory. Prior to the battery change it was just key in , turn it and engine starts fine. I found changing the battery a chore and disconnected a few things but I'm sure everything went back as it should. |

I'm fairly sure depressing the clutch pedal is normal to start the car. Certainly was on my 2005 C4 so I can't imagine it's any different for a Picasso. | ||
