Good morning,
this problem arises on my 2008 c4 grand Picasso 2.0 HDi automatic: starting from a standstill with a "gentle" acceleration and even more so in reverse, the car "jerks" noticeably, both hot and cold, only in the very first moments in which you start. If the start is more "decisive" with the accelerator, no problem! I emphasize that during the journey everything is absolutely regular.
Do you have any ideas on this?

I would say that you have EGS gearbox. I can only give you advice what to do when its a winter time. Put car in reverse and while under handbrake put revs around 1000rpm, for around 10 seconds. That will help hydraulic oil to build up pressure in actuator. Handbrake will not disengage, after 10 seconds you can put it in A1 and drive of. First gear change should be much smoother.
Regarding jerking, clutch calibration should solve the problem. It is usually done with Lexia but there is also a "manual" procedure.

The 2.0 TDi was available with full auto or EGS. The esay way to tell is that the full auto has a 'P' position on the gear selector, EGS does not.
