2017 Flair model. 1.6 Diesel Hello, Could I please ask for some help. Went to the main dealer here to get updates for the car. The guy there gave me a link to download the Citroen Update software. I did that and entered my VIN. It went to the download screen and it lists two downloads. I am able to get the map update no problem. But then it keeps failing to download "Software of the touch screen (21.08.87.32_NAC-r1)" Im not sure what to do next. I've tried that download a few times with the same result. I've done the download again.. and only selected the map update and that downloaded fine .. and I was able to get it all onto the USB. Should I just go ahead and do the map update? Or would it need to have the firmware update first? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Your navigation system will be updated by CITROËN Update Application. This application will prepare the USB key that you should use in your vehicle. If you have already installed the application, open it and start the download of the update. If you haven't installed the application yet, Install CITROËN Update Application from the links below: For Windows: - Click Here - For MAC: - Click Here - Make sure that the application is installed and saved in your computer's hard drive and not directly in an external support connected by USB. You must have administrator rights on the computer and a broadband Internet connection. |

Instructions for updating Firmware manually (without the Citroen Update Software; installing Licence Files and Map Updates For NAC & RCC Telematics Units Only! Be aware that although all the firmware files provided by Staff here are direct from PSA servers, you install any and all files at your own risk. Firmware 1) Download the tar file to your PC. 2) Format a suitably sized USB with only the FAT32 file system! If you need a free utility to Format a larger USB that Windows won't provide, use this free Format utility from Rufus 3) Use a compression / decompression utility like 7zip from 7zip.org to decompress the files only onto the USB you have just formatted. Make sure that you have not copied the actual compressed Tar onto the USB. 4) Start engine and keep it running. Wait 1 minute for the modules to load before inserting your USB into the system. 5) If you get a message saying it cannot find any media files, this just means it's looking for music or other files. Either cancel or wait a few seconds for the system to detect there is an update and then go ahead when it asks you to update. 6) Don't play with any controls or switches, especially the Touchscreen during the update process and do not remove the USB until asked. Licence File 1) If your vehicle does not have WiFi on-board to authorise the firmware update over the air (OTA), you will need to create a folder on the USB called license. 2) After creating the license folder on the USB, copy the licence file into the license folder Map 1) Make sure you have format the USB again in FAT32 before starting to ensure there are no files remaining from previous use. 2) Repeat as for Firmware. In all cases allow time to do this. Firmware updates can take 40 minutes or longer. Map updates can take a similar time depending on the map size. Always keep the engine running during an update, because if it goes into economy mode during an update, it can brick your head unit! Thanks very much for this!! I extracted the files and put the firmware updateinfo.xml and the SWL folder onto the root of the USB along with the license. And its working away there now.. will do the maps then next. Again, thanks very much for this assistance .. really great. |

Looks like success anyway, the map update worked. The touchscreen is all workin.. nothing obvious changed. Bit disappointed that the Android Auto doesn't seem to be much better. I was getting some apps not displaying their user interface on the car screen.. and thats still the case with the same apps. Might start a separate thread about that tho. Anyway, thanks again @danlat1415, you've been brilliant. |
