This wasn't the first time I had to change item number 5E2222700. Which is moving flaps for hot/cold on automatic AC. Actuator is pretty strong so plastic around it snaps after some time. Last time I have changed it almost 4 years ago. When the plastic snaps, you will hear flaps like falling down constantly, until actuator is then stuck on the upper position, which is cold. Very interesting is that on the driver side(left hand drive), when its not working you will have constant cold air. But on the passenger side it will blow constant hot air. Anyway, some would remove whole dashboard to come to this piece of plastic. I remove plastic above feet. Then thanks to my snake body, I was able to remove actuator motor. Changed the part and test it. Since I'm experienced, it took me around 10 minutes to swap it. Bottom line, no need to remove dashboard. |

After I have changed this, I wasn't happy how it was working. For some reason arm was catching actuator motor so I could hear it wasn't right. It was making sound like something is jumping. Anyway, I removed everything and this time I put it back the way it was meant. I have checked everything 3 times, here is a video of it. - Click Here - |
