On my GP there are two of those that thread into the metal battery mounting plate, which sits under the base of the plastic battery housing. In my recent adventures throughout the engine space, I can only remember seeing this kind of bolt in that location. The plastic housing slots over the two bolts, and is then itself bolted down with 13mm captive-washer nuts, keeping the plastic housing nicely in place. Your picture is "upside down" in terms of how the bolts are fixed to the metal mounting plate. The holes in the plastic housing are sized for the captive nut. Hope that helps! |
