Hi all, I need to replace the front ABS sensor as it is putting out invalid data and causing the car to go into limp mode with various errors - it's 1.6 eHDI with the EGS gearbox, so I am also limited to only three gears. I managed to get the wheel off and get to the sensor quite easily, but the Torx bolt holding it in has been stripped even before I got to it! My local mechanic will be able to remove it for a small amount of money, but I'm having a surprising amount of trouble finding a replacement bolt - the new sensor didn't come with one, and the (fairly big) car parts dealer I bought the sensor from here in Germany doesn't know what part I need! I did some research and found what looks like an accurate parts diagram: It's marked 70 in this image and described simply as "SCREW CBX" with a part number of 691376. I have searched for the part number and found nothing, but I have also found what might be the right part here, although the part number is different. - Click Here - Could anybody with more knowledge, experience and/or a parts book let me know if this looks right? Ideally I need to order it asap because the car is booked in for next Wednesday and I was lucky to get it in that soon. Thanks in advance! |

Hallo, If you cant use that torx as a reference, I would remove a bolt from another wheel and check in local hardware store.

Thanks for the suggestion - in hindsight, that should have been obvious I took the other wheel off, and managed to end up with the same problem. I was able to get the T30 bit into it nicely with some hammering, but then managed to strip it by hand, which is a new experience for me with a Torx head. So, I'm still in the dark but will probably need a second one in the future |

Try to use nut, so you can lock it into position. You should be able to find it in a local hardware store

It'll be metric, measure the diameter and pitch then get a new stainless one. A bolt head if it'll fit or any other. They are only something like 8Nm. An impact driver would have taken it out without damage, or just drill it. |

This morning, the local Citroen dealer replied to me about this - they can get the part, in the next day or two, so I will pick it up and also post a photo and the part number for anybody else that searches for the same thing

It's just a bolt, it'll be a common size
