Hi
I have a 2011 DS4 and the front wipers wont work at all. I have scanned the car with Autel im608 and get the fault B1153:62 in the BSI unit.
I have tested the wiring from the wiper to the BSM and all is good.
I can access the BSM with Autel ans it has no fault codes.
I have tested the wiper on the bench and works as should and grounds park wire properly.
I have replaced the BSM with a new unit with no change. When trying to turn wipers on there is no click form a relay and neither output from BSM turns on.
If i press down on the stalk "Automatic Screen Wipe Activated" shows on centre screen then a few seconds later "Automatic Screen Wipe Deactivated" is shown.
Ive tried the BSI reset procedures.
nothing seems to clear the B1153:62 code which is "wiper park signal iconsistent" iirc
does anyone have any experience with this as my next port of call would be a replacement BSI unit but im at a loss other than that
Cheers
Rich

Either a handle that activates wiper, or BSM.

So that kind of rules out the control stalk.

Chances are it's the motor, but you can check the fuses and if there's power going to the motor.

Ive ran the motor off the car and it works fine, tested the outputs of the bsm when trying to turn wipers on and no power comes out, ive even fitted a new bsm and its no different. fuse is good but no relay clicks to indicate it is even trying to activate the motor. its as if someone has revoked wiper privileges

the BSM unit needing coding to the car with a dealer type tool, now all works perfectly

Re-coding? was that due to the changed unit?
