Hi, Thanks for having me. I couldn't find the post i was looking for that related to my question, so i oppologise in advance if i have over looked this. I just got my new 2023 Citroen C4, it is the top spec one. Inside the car are two usb ports. One is a type C and the other is a regular usb port. In my C4 Cactas 2019 plate i was able to plug my usb memory card in and the radio would automatically switch to the usb to play my music (im not talking about a phone nor apple or Android play, only specifically a usb memory card), and prior to that the very first DS3 i had even played my usb memory card. When i plug it into the usb slot nothing happens. The music is all the correct format as the previous car played it without any issues. There seems to be no option in the "Media Draw" section of the touch screen to switch to the usb device either and the manual is next to useless. The car must play it as pretty much all modern cars do. I have tested the usb in my 2019 cactus prior to picking up the new car and i did this at the dealership, in fact i tested 6 known working usb memory cards that i have used in my previous 2019 plate C4 Cactus to no avail. So my question is how do i get the new 2023 C4 to play my usb memory stick. Thank you. |

Did you ask the dealer.? As you say you should be able to plug in a USB flash drive (format FAT32) and play it. I can't imagine it's a dealer setup thing but you never know. |

Hi Neilp Thanks for letting me know, i will contact the dealership and ask them to verify this. I also saw there were two more usbs at the rear for the passengers, so i will try those too. Ill keep everyone posted incase there is a specific dealer thing they setup. Thanks again |

Stumbled across this thread and had a similar issue with a new 2024 C4 Max regarding the USB Type 'A' port and additional Type 'C' port on the central console. The infotainment system would not recognise my USB stick at all when plugged into the Type 'A' port..... and the reason being....this Type 'A' port only supplies power for charging phones etc. To play music files from a USB memory stick it has to be inserted into the Type 'C' port, the data port, and therefore it has to be a FAT32 formatted Type 'C' USB memory stick ! Hope this helps if the issue is still ongoing. |
