Is the EGR valve on the same side for all 1.6HDI engines? I have a 2013 C4 Hatch and it looks like the piping and fuel filter are on the aux belt side and all instructions I've seen to get to it say it's on battery side, I admit I may just be being dim as I've done 35+ EGR's on 308's/407's and they have (including fuel filter) been on battery side

Also, do you need to/recommended to do the Peugeot style battery disconnect? (window down, bonnet open, 5 min to sleep then disconnect then the reconnection sequence)
