So I am looking to update my firmware and SatNav software on my 2015 C4GP Exclusive+.

The firmware is currently on SMEG5.4.B.R8 (not been updated since 2015) and likewise for the maps. I have been told to update to the newest map the firmware must be updated first.

What firmware can I update to and is there any links to said firmware?

Is my system the SMEG or SMEG+?

I understand the implications and the dangers of said actions.

Do you have the "My Citroen" App? If not download it and sync it to your car. That should tell you if there are any Firmware updates and give you a link.

It is a long process.

Much appreciated but I had already checked that. So the app tells me I have a map update however it say September 2020 but it says nothing regarding any firmware update although I do know there is a newer firmware.

These type of updates are either paid updates or dealer only I believe.

I’ve always thought that but they appeared on my app, I have no subscription to either.

I was dubious about doing them as the Firmware has always been done by my dealer but I followed the link and it was quite straightforward. It did take a while to download it to my computer and put on the USB. It also took a while to upload to the car. Probably 1.5 hours in total.

The firmware I updated was for 2020, but on completion I then got an update for 2022 on my app, so it obviously has to be done in sequence. All went well again, although time consuming.

Hi

If you want the latest (SMEG_5.43.A.R2 and last) Firmware, use this link

For the latest Maps, use this link - i've just updated (UK Only) my maps to the latest version, has the new roads around me on it. I updated from a 2014 map version and works brilliant
