Hi. I have installed a Brink hidden towbar system with dedicated wiring.

Routed the cables and plugged into the two connectors on the passenger side by the fuse box.

I've used Diagbox to activate the system but I get a read write error and it fails.

Has anyone else had this problem and how was it solved. Thanks.

I'm watching this thread as I'm planning to do the same in the next couple of month (self fit tow bar with dedicated wiring, not universal)

I'd already been looking around for the Diagbox steps and I found this video that shows the sequence. It may help.

Maybe try a different version of Diagbox if you're getting read/write errors

I bought the brink towbar and dedicated wiring from PF Jones wit the additional wiring for a fridge power. The additional wiring for the fridge required drilling a hole through the bulkhead to get a permanant live off the battery.
Other than that, the wiring is brought forwards to the fuse box and connects into two connectors behind the panel on the left of the fusebox. The multi pin is fairly easy to get at, but the single pin is hidden quite high up and is awkward to get at.

The Lexia cable I purchased only supports up to Digibox 7 and that allowed everything you see on the video, but when you turn off the ignition and on again, I get the read/write communication error.

Version 7 only works upto 2015 vehicles.
Above that need version 9.

Also there are different types of cable;
Lite, normal and full chip.

Full chip is same as genuine ones used at dealers.
Normal has less chips on the circuit board, so a lot of things work but not all functions and some ECUs can't be read.
The lite version is a basic one and used for old vehicles that don't have many systems.
