Recently on my 2013 mk2 I have noticed a couple of peculiar things regarding the passenger electric mirror.

Firstly, it doesn’t seem to “dip” when reverse is engaged. The setting is on in system settings and the driver mirror works as expected; restoring to normal when moving out of reverse.

Also, the passenger mirror itself seems to move ok when selected on the drivers arm rest but isn’t smooth. It moves a tiny bit, then stops so you have to keep pushing the button to move a lot rather than the drivers side mirror which can move smoothly and fully just by holding down the button.

Have checked the motors by “switching” side to side and the same problems arise ….

Any assistance in where to look further would be amazing
