Hello everyone, I have one issue basically since I have purchased this car. Car is pulling to the right(steering wheel on the left). So, it's pulling to the passager side, also, when I start going, steering wheel is turning to the right. When the speed is more than 50km/h, steering wheel is positioned to the right, so in order to drive straight, I have to give it a opposite force to the left. I have done wheel alignment about 3 times, there were small offsets on the passager side. But the problem remained, it was checked around the wheels, all the parts are good. There are no any loose part or rubber going bad. Also, yesterday I have transfered front wheels to the back, just to exclude tires as a problem. So, it still pulls to the right, same as before. I have also measured each wheel, gap between the upper arc and the wheel. I can conclude that 3 wheels have 39cm gap. But passager front wheel has around 40cm gap. If that side is higher, then I assume that car would then pull to the left, driver side. But that isn't the case. Maybe somebody had this issue before. I suspect that front shocks have to be replaced completely. But I dont know if the issue is somewhere else.
Cheers

Most likely worn bushes in suspenson somewhere, does it pull more/less when under braking?

I have ruled out brakes as an issue, since when braking it doesn't pull additionally on the side. Other than a contact pulling which is present with speeds above 35 miles. I assume that is has to do with suspension. I will change frontal ones completely.

Has the car had any accident damage, or signs of a repair?

Well, it's a very high possibility that previous owner had an accident. On the passager side, front wheel. I think when I was at wheel alignment center, that guy there told me that ball joint on that side has been changed( if I remember correctly, it was 3 years ago). Somebody also told me that front bumper was resprayed, but frankly
, am not able to see that. Car was checked underneath numerous times, with several different mechanics, only thing that was changed since I have it, were vertical bars, which are beside front shocks. I have a printed report from wheel alignment, unfortunately it is not in English. It shows that there were some deviation on front wheels.

Just to add that tyres are 4 years old and they are evenly used. There is no indication that sides were used more, or whatsoever. From that I conclude that problem is not with ball joints or other parts.

Was it just a basic alignment or full 4 wheel alignment

It would alway be worth taking some basic measurements each side yourself, like wheelrim to wheel rim, spacing in the arch

Alignment was done on all wheels, pretty fancy and modern equipment they have. In my first post I have explain that I have found a problem. When I was measuring from wheel arch to the wheel, distance on all 4 wheels.

What did the data from the alignment say?
If the alignment is correct, there must be something changing, what about rear Axel vs front Axel?
And it dont eat tires???
No noise like there is to much slack?
What about lower arm bushings?
Does it drive to the side but firm or does it sail around?

I have done wheel alignment in three different services. Each of them have checked below car, nobody told that anything is worn out. They wouldn't do alignment if some parts were out. I have been to couple of tyre services. One didn't want to rotate tires front to back, since they were used evenly. When I went two weeks ago, on some other tyre service. They were also in question, why am I doing this. Since tyres are good, evenly used, no excessive wear on the sides, whatsoever. I have no noice in the cabin while turning. I tried to go over speed bumps a bit faster, just to hear something. I hear frontal springs, when they are like compressed. When I hit the hole, I hear plastic inside the car. But those boxes on the dashboard are full of some plastic parts, etc. When I drive off the standstill, steering wheel turns to right. I could think that is a torque steer, but when I go over 50km/h, steering wheel becomes more sensitive, whish is normal. But it turns right, and car goes to the right. So I have to use opposite force to keep it straight. When the road is more to the left, then it goes straight but steering wheel is still turned right. So, bottom line, steering wheel is turned to right, car goes to the right. I need to use some force to turn it opposite direction, so it would go straight. Car is not "sailing" around. Not in the corner also, feels very secure, I never felt that I would loose control. Even on the wet road, hard braking and direction change, car feels secure. Without any tendency to turn or lose control.
I went to my service man in January for a regular yearly service. He checked everything below around the wheels. All joints, everything looks firm, no loosen joints. Only thing that I noticed, by manually measuring distance between wheel arch and the wheel. Is that passager(right wheel) is around 1cm higher than all the rest of them.

The nearest thing I have had eperience like this was with a Vauxhall Omega, car drove normally until braking when it would suddenly swerve (not exactly the same as your issue) turned out to be both front wishbone bushes worn out (where wishbones connect to chassis).

You shouldn't get torque steer with normal acceleration, have you checked if there is any heat coming off any of the wheels after a journey? (binding brakes)

Are both front tyres the same brand/wear?

When parked with both front wheels straight (look at wheels not steering wheel) is the steering wheel straight?

When I brake with speeds below 50km/h, car goes straight. Tyres are from same brand, same model, bought in same time and same DOT number. When the car is stationary, on the parking spot, wheels are straight forward, steering wheel also. I have checked that numerous times. I was planning to change upper mountings, springs, struts, but dont want to change all that and problem remains .
I didn't check if right wheel is more heated than the left wheel. But on the last service while the car was in the air, we did rotate front wheels a bit, and they weren't stuck

Just to clearify -- when you accelerate - the steering wheel goes to one side --- what when you deaccellerate or break? Do it go to the other side ?

If Im driving more than 50km/h, it doesn't matter if Im accelerating or not, it goes to the right. Below that speed, gradually pulling decreases, and it is not puling when I'm braking.

Could it be caused by rear suspension etc?
