Hello! I just recently bought a c4 picasso 2009 which is experiencing some problems. I was not bought from a dealership so sadly no warranty. While driving I will sometimes se this image pop up and quickly disappear - Click Here - yesterday the image stuck and the engine speed got capped, I guess the car went into limp home mode? I could not get more speed than 20-30 mph. After stopping by the side of the road and restarting the car the fault was gone and I was able to drive home. I have a simple OBD2 fault code reader which did not find any active codes. When I initially got the car after buying it and driving home I had a different problem appear: - Click Here - When a friend looked at the car he noticed that the air inlet to the throttle body was not connected properly and hanging out of place. - Click Here - We reconnected the air inlet and cleared the faultcodes. After this I was able to drive without the antipullotion reappearing. However the first problem I described is now happening. I need help diagnosting the problem? I was thinking that since the air inlet to the throttle body was not connected some dirt might have entered the throttle body and that it might need a cleaning. Does cleaning the throttle body sound like a good idea in this situation or what other problems do you suggest has occured? /br |

Hi i think this is hard to diagnose with no codes staying in computer? Have you access to a autocom or psa obd tester? I think i would check the fuses, connections etc around the battery - apperently that is a common fault these corrode and give all kinds of faults. |

Which obd tester is recommended for this? I have a simple one which only looks for emission related fault codes I think which is not detecting any codes in the car now. If I detect any corroded connections around the battery/fuses what is the easiest remedy for that? Should I replace the battery/fuses or is it enough to clear up the connections for better connectivity? |

Check if you are getting water into engine compartment. Carpet which is above engine gets soaked with rain, then falls on the battery fuses. Making a nightmare. | ||
