Hi, as per title I'm trying to find out at what mileage my timing belt should be changed please and if there is a good diy guide to follow.
Thanks.

I'd buy the citroen e-manual off ebay, it's very good with clear pictures and instructions.

I think the 1.6 timing belt is about 80k - 100k miles, it seems to have been revised a bit then later not mentioned in the manual. I've got a 2011 car and the service booklet says 150k miles or 10 years.

I changed mine at 9 and a half years and 125k miles, the belt looked ok when it was off. Up to you really as it's a real expensive failure if it breaks.

I'll have a look for the e-manual thanks.
She's on about 64k and 8 years old so I've got time to plan it.
Cheers.

- Click Here - for details, though there are no details for 8v engines. Otherwise look in your Handbook.

I did over 100,000 miles in both my 1.6 HDi 16vs without issue.
