Sorry, my back is bad and i want to match the numbers on the heater blower. I get confused on where to find the whole package -
1) by center post over pedals or
2) behind "glovebox", does that mean the lower one with cooling inside?
3) by center post passenger side

I ordered a new fan and regulator but want to make sure it IS the right one...
Cheers
/Joakim (Sweden)

The heater blower is located on the right side of your car. In front of the glove compartment.
If I may ask; did your heater blower stop working? The reason why I ask is that I have problems with my heater blower. Its out and I've been testing it and running it directly from a 12V battery. I'm not sure yet but it is probably the resistor that is my problem.

Hej Torbjœrn,
thank you for the reply.
It comes on and off, i have to drive over a speedbump or something like that shaking the car to get it going at all, recently it sounds like rrrrhhrhrrrhhrrhrrrrrhhhhhhhhrrrr before it stops so i think it might be corroded. Not sure so i bought both the fan and the resistor.
I seem to be too **** to understand the location, where on earth is "in front of glove ..."? and which one? The top under windscreen (i hear the noise from there?) or the cooled one under the dashboard?

Location is on the right side. Over your passengers feet. You must remove a panel to get to the fan.

Great! Perfect thank you!
I read about having to remove the glovebox, this looks much more simple!

I got the 2 parts and today i crawled/screwed around to find that the fan was the wrong match, the resistor is smaller than the hole for it in the new fan
So much trouble (for a guy with back problem) for no improvement, the old fan kicks in as soon as i move it so i'm pretty sure that is the problem.

So you think the resistor is the problem?
The reason why I ask is that I have the exact same problem with my heater fan.

I thought it would be the resistor but no, i put the new one in and absolutely no change.
The old resistor looked even more corroded than yours but was not the problem.
Now i have ordered the right fan (i hope) and will return the wrong one.

Oh I see.... Did you try to run the fan from a 12V battery? When I do that its working fine. When I connect it to the original cables in the car....nothing happens.
There is 12V in the cables and fuses are fine.

As i said, if i move the blower (spin the fan it or shake it) it starts, so no, i didn't connect another battery.
I'll let you know when i get the new blower if it helps!

Today, finally, i could change the blower and can confirm that in my case it was the blower that was giving up, not the resistor.

Now it works again.

Do not buy the the Nissens as i did, it fits but the build quality is lousy! Even was cracked on the arched part near the fan motor. It also vibrates a bit more than the Denso that was in there from the start. Reason i choose the Nissens was that it had the wires to connect to the resistor and the one i ordered which didn't fit came with nothing = you'd have to take it apart and solder.

May I ask how much you paid for the blower?
