The Citroen recomended oil is Total Ineo ECS 5w 30 oil. Yes it is expensive but it is an incredibly good oil. Link to the best price I found for 5l £28.99 inc post - Click Here - |

Any recomendations please as it looks very expensive for 5 ltrs. Thanks The correct oil spec for 1.6 Bluehdi engine is PSA B71 2312 This oil is 0w-30. NO other oil is specified for this engine. An inexpensive one. - Click Here - |

Thanks guys. From what I could find out 0w-30 appears to be correct. Apparently it offers better protection throught the year including the winter months where as the 5W-30 is thicker and not so good in the winter. Found some 0w-30 Liqui Moly oil. Never heard of it but at £56.95 for 5 ltrs its more than I've ever paid for engine oil. Looks the correct spec tho. Thanks for that link Skorpion. Never heard of that make but it's certainly a lot cheaper than I have found upto now. |

You should get a PSA approved oil. |
