I have a C4GP 57 plate and want to fit my pioneer stereo. However I have tried all the harness adapters available in Halfords and none work correctly. I found one that functioned as it should but it didn't power off the stereo when you took the keys out the ignition. I also have a universal stalk adaptor which I purchased for my stereo and my previous C3 which worked perfectly yet I can not get it to work on my C4GP. Does anyone have any idea which lead and/or stalk adapter I need to make everything work properly and with steering wheel controls? |

Since this subject started back in ~2006, it has always been suggested that you should avoid Halfords. The recommended supplier is Connects 2. You should be able to get what you need to retain the steering wheel menu function. |

As Doug said, avoid Autoleads from Halfords; they are only basic ISO adapters with no CANBus facilities. Speak with Connects2 for the appropriate interface and patch lead for remote control from the steering wheel. You may require other links for reversing sensors, handbrake or speed.
