Full apologies for this ultra newbie question!

I have just purchased a 2015 C4 Picasso Exclusive. It has two sensors located internally, high on the driver and passenger side pillars. What are they for? I am trying to find out exactly what "toys" and essentials the car has, hence my question.

Motion sensors for the alarm. They trigger the alarm if the car is locked and something like a dog or a spider or a moth moves inside the car. They can be disabled usig the button by the driver's right knee.
