Hey folks, I have a 2010 Grand C4 Picasso and have just noticed what looks like oil drips on the driveway about midway along the car on the offside (right hand side). I took a quick look and there is a plastic undertray that has been gouged or ripped about 20 - 30 cm in from the outer edge of the vehicle which has what looks like oil around the damaged area. I won't be able to get under the car properly until the weekend at the earliest, but I can't think of what would be wet under that part of the car? Appreciate any pointers.

Thanks

Andi

if it's orange in colour it'll be the eolys leaking.

Thanks for that, the drips look black (very black - but then I've only seen them soaked-in to block paving). I'm wondering if I might have a leaking fuel line that's dripping diesel onto the damaged underbody plastic shield and picking up road dirt to make it black. I'll put a tray down and and see what it looks like wet.

Do the finger test and smell.

As a guess I would think it was from AirCon

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I put a piece of white card under the drip and whatever is leaking is a deep red/brown colour that is viscous enough to string for a cm or two if you dab a finger into a blob of it and lift. It looks like (and smells like) thick wood varnish.

It's the DPF fluid bag as suggested by Rusky - it's leaking like a sieve and still about a third full - I guess I have to throw £40 of Eolys away and buy a new bag - and then pay to have the counter reset. What an utterly stupid design that is. Just in case it's any use to anyone else, the bag has a half dozen or so small splits in it, all on one side, and they look as though they might be from where the bag has rubbed against the housing as the car vibrates, and it's worn along the creases that have formed as the bag has collapsed as it's emptied. 5p worth of bubble wrap in the base of the rigid casing could have saved a lot of trouble. Possibly.

Just replace the bag and leave the reset until car requests it. No point paying for a reset you don't actually need to do.

Ordered a replacement bag from Eurocarcare for £74 including VAT and shipping, and I'll do as tomandjo2 suggests and not worry for the moment about the reset - I get the impression that they are theoretically good for 90K ish miles so I've got a while before it should expect to be empty.

Thanks to all for the help and suggestions.

Good to know - any clues as to what's likely to break next from the 60K onwards point?
