Hi All,
Have searched the forum but couldn't find an answer to my question.
I don't have an issue finding a towbar for my car - plenty of options but I am confused about the wiring.

Lots of places saying don't cut into the existing wiring - thats fine
BUT
what options do I have to have the electrics fitted for a towbar then? Any links to sites of where I can buy the correct wiring from etc

You can either buy the approved Citroen interface (expensive but won't invalidate anything and interfaces with reversing sensors and the CANBus) or use a by-pass system taking power from the fusebox and signals from the wiring for the lighting (cheaper and minimal). I think Towbar Specialists like Witter will be a good starting place.

Do not take power from any of the lighting wiring - it will cause CANBus chaos as a minimum and could be a fire risk.

Is it possible to buy an aftermarket dedicated wiring loom. say something like this?

I assume the dedicated Citroen wiring loom would still require coding?

The EBay item looks the part. I can't remember if any activation is required.

I don't off hand. Many have fitted by-pass kits themselves, others have let dealers or towbar fitters do it.
