Morning All,

I am new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong place!

We had a new EGR and turbo fitted Dec 19, both aftermarket, on the advice of a local mechanic. Ever since, we've had transient loss of power in the form of a judder at 1500-2000 revs and occasional total loss of power with "anti-pollution system fault, parking brake fault". We've been back and forth with the mechanic who couldn't find anything. Since been to a garage that specialises in Citroens who have said that the EGR is operating at 10% and it's common to have issues with non-genuine EGRs.

Original mechanic is now saying that the EGR manufacturer won't refund if it passes their quality control tests (which he suspects it will).

I feel like I wasn't warned of the potential incompatibility issues and should only have to pay the difference between the aftermarket and genuine part as opposed to genuine plus labour. Am I being naive? Really appreciate any advice as to how to tackle the situation as 7 months of breaking down is taking its toll!
