Hi all, just looking for a bit of advise on a new battery.

Managed to wrestle out the current battery a Tudor L3 450 / 720A.

Any idea which model and make of battery is a good replacement and is there a way to check I’m ordering the correct battery (I read somewhere on here, you can check using the VIN number).

The vehicle is a 2007 C4 Picasso, 1.6 HDI VTR +

Thanks all

Usually I buy online comes with same years of warranty as the shops

- Click Here - you just put reg and they tell you which one,

All my Citroen came with Varta battery’s in them, I am not sure what that brand is?

Thanks very much.

Used to be when you bought a car battery, you were given one and that was it. Now there are various AMP sizes, CCA etc.

You welcome,
Yes I agree too much variety to confuse people with, its same when it comes to buying anything, and mainly one country to blame they just make so much rubbish and aim at U.K. market.....

The CCA helps with cold winter days, I remember my 2008 2.0 grand Picasso used to struggle, I decided to get a battery with higher cca and it was a bit out of place as slightly bigger and more expensive but it did cure the cold starting issues.

If you measure the dimensions Of old battery, and compare it to the one on the website just to be on safe side, mainly width and length is a problem due to the base and locking plate, but height is slightly more space to play with.

That website have an eBay store as well sometimes is cheaper there, eurocarparts and gsf car parts price it so high It’s a joke, they offer discount code if you apply it before check out it’ll reduce price you select local store and go and collect it.

Now eurocarparts offer a code MID60 and excide battery with 720cca is came to £72 You can collect it locally.

Usually most motorfactors have a book that tells the right battery for your car, just ask and you get a battery over the counter.

Thanks for your help all. Went for a Bosch S5008 (77ah, 780A) in the end.

Seems such a huge choice of batteries these days.
