I'm looking at a Grand C4 Picasso 2016.
It's auto VTR+.

In other threads I was told EAT6 was solidly reliable and the one to go for out of choice.

How about the VTR+?
Any good? Any issues?

Thanks.

VTR+ is fine, it’s not posh but has everything you need. I’m fairly sure on the VTR+ the rear seats don’t slide on the GP but somebody might be able to confirm one way or the other

Not posh = basic model?
EAT6 - my thinking was that this was super reliable after all comments received in my other posts.

If definitely OK, I'll seriously consider buying.
Let me know.
Thanks.

EAT6 is a kind of gearbox

VTR+ is a level of trim/equipment - mid range

It’s nothing to do with the spec level as to whether a car has ETG or EAT gearboxes; Euro 5 cars (without Adblue) have EAT, Euro 6 cars (with Adblue) have EAT. A Euro 5 Exclusive + 1.6e-HDi is ETG6, a Euro 6 VTR+ is EAT6

The VTR+ has everything you really need but none of the niceties as such.

If you go to look at cars, if the car has an ETG gearbox, there will not be a P (park) position on the gear selector. The EAT will have a park position. Any car with a Blue HDi badge will be Euro 6. To double check, the Adblue filler on early cars is under the offside third row seat. There is a large plug in the boot floor. I know that later cars may have had the location of the filler changed to inside the fuel filler cap.

The car I'm looking at is a bluehdi
It's 2016 plate
I can see a p on the gear selector
I guess it's EAT?

Yep.. that’s an EAT6 gearbox, and very nice they are too. Make sure it has a good service history and if you buy get I serviced at the correct intervals with the correct oil and filters, good luck.

There was a major facelift/model re-name during 2016, the mechanical bits were largely unchanged. As it's a VTR+ it is pre-faclift. Nothing wrong with that, but the screens are not compatible with Android Auto or Apple Carplay (is that important to you, only you will know). I get by quite happily with a phone on a vent holder and use mapping on that. You can still bluetooth to connect music, phone etc.

Mine is an Exclusive+, right car right price second hand, but would have been very happy with a VTR+ had one turned up, VTR+ has all you need plus most of what you might want - proper aircon, DAB radio, misses out on some baubles most of which I never use. I don't think they had satnav unless the original owner paid lots extra and I doubt many did.

Wish mine was an auto
