Just wondering... what does an AA or RAC warranty cover?
What does it NOT cover?
Is it a lot less than what is covered by a Citroen dealer?
Are there any other companies worth considering?

Thanks.

Hi, cant help with AA and RAC warranties but when I was looking for an aftermarket warranty I noticed that most of those on the market excluded fuel injectors. as mine is a modern diesel I wanted these covered so I ended up going for an Allianz Assist comprehensive one. My car is in the dealer at the moment having the Noc sensor, injectors and dashboard top screen replaced on this warranty. It cost I think £500 so more expensive than the Citroen one But I was not eligible for that as my manufacturers warranty had expired.

One of the benefits of going approved used - it also means that in addition to the 12 month warranty you can extend this for about £250 per year to be full Citroen warranty cover so long as it’s taken out before the 12 months finishes.

@Wutang... I wouldn't have known about the fuel injectors...

Citroen dealer warranty... do you have to get everything else done there like servicing? (As a stipulation of them giving the warranty?)

The warranty I have with Citroen has to be taken up before the original 3 year warranty lapses. You may not have to have your car serviced by Citroen, but it certainly makes it easier if you do. I am perfectly satisfied with the warranty, as I have had many jobs done on my current car, and the only thing I've had to pay out for (apart from servicing) has been a new battery. Considering in that time I have had the aircon looked at several times (very slow leak they can't seem to stop), a new Adblue tank, and a new alternator/starter. I also got recompense for a hire car for one claim. Just can't remember which were under the original 3 years and which were under the extended warranty.

From reading the forum there seems to be a lot of problems with these cars.

Beginning to think I should buy something else.

These mk2 version had so much new stuff added to the car compare to mk1, also so much restrictions to obey mainly environmental, I am not aware if Citroen were fined for cheating just saying,

I had the mk2 2015 GP exclusive 2.0 hdi for three years, also the 2017 2.0 hdi exclusive flair now almost for three years too, I still own both cars, by far the 2017 was better than the 2015 maybe they just had time to redesign and fix few more stuff, engine is different slightly more power and nicer rides.
Road tax For the 2015 Is £25 And for the 2017 is £30 as they slightly different
