Probably a little late but mk 2 petrol has the ep6 engine with a timing chain. The same engine is is in the n12 and n14 mini. I just installed my partners chain and guide kit a few months back and went for febi Bilstein. Unfortunately I'm now up for a water pump and have gone for a GRAF which I'm installing tomorrow. If doing it yourself read. Read. Read. It's quite involved...and catastrophic if if you don't do it right. Definitely not something to take on as a novice. |
