Hi all,

Was driving along the highway (110 km/h) when the car simply lost power & slowed to complete stop, then engine stalled. Tried to restart, which it did for 2-3 seconds then stalled. Any extra electrical load or acceleration seems to stall engine straight away. turned off a/c, which let it run for an extra second maybe! Thought it might be possibly dead battery, but have removed & charged, then tested OK. So reinstalled & still no go.
I have checked fuses, but all appear OK. Could it be the fuse box issue that has a fair amount documented about on this forum?
Only tell tale prior was the Economy Mode message had been appearing on dash periodically the week or 2 before. There were no other warnings on dash. Plugged OBD reader in and no codes coming up.
I had filled up with Diesel about 200km prior, but car had been running fine up until then so hard to believe its fuel? Could it be fuel filter though?
Im a bit stumped!
Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.
Greg

I'd go new filter, should be done routinely anyway. You could just try prime it again with the bulb in case any air has got in the system.

As said could be filter, so when was it last changed or drained of any water. I'm assuming draining water from the pump/filter is still an option with diesels.

Thanks guys. Not sure when filter was last changed - have only had car for 4 months. Was certainly of my list to do at next service.
Will take a look tonight.

I'm not sure there is a drain option on the Citroen, it's a simple paper element filter. I suppose there must be a drain somewhere on it, never look, just changed it a few times.
