any one swapped the air filter on a late model C4? Clearly the large air hose from the MAF on the RH side has to come off. 3 torx on top of the engine air box cover are obvious but the cover seems to morph into the air intake hose. Can they separate how do they come off please?

Just remove the material engine cover, then 3 torx screws on the top cover of the air filter case (T20 screw), and a clip to the right side of it. No need to remove the air hose or mag, as these are connected to the lower part of air filter housing that remains in place. It then lifts off from the front of the vehicle upwards. It's held in by slotted retainers towards the rear of it, so just lift up and towards the front. Very quick and easy to replace. Only takes a few minutes. |

Thks for the reply. I did this but there is a 1-2cm air hose with 8mm plastic air connector front right of the filter housing that snapped off. Junk design connector. Probably some thing to do with air flow sensing. Car works with it loose
