Hi,
Tried a dashcam in my C4GP and when the sky is bright all ya get is glare on the lens probably due to the sloping windscreen? can anyone recommend one that actually works and also where you position yours, i put mine high up on the screen behind the rear view mirror.
Cheers
Brian

Depends on the make . . . . But better to point camera towards to ground more and show less of the sky but if you mean windscreen refection then you need a polarizing filter

Aye yes its the screen reflection, will try a polarising filter, my camera is only a cheap one so might need a better quality one, would a GoPro work as one? it might be easier to fit a polarising filter to the go pro case.
Cheers

Ive got a nextbase camera mounted just to the left of the rear view mirror & have had no problems with glare.

Another vote for Nextbase, one front and one rear and another on my wifes car with no reflection issues and really high quality pictures in all conditions

I hope their quality has improved. I had two, and had so much trouble with them turning themselves off that I gave up and went over to Mio. No trouble with them. Always work and no reflection issues. Absolutely invaluable as evidence when our C3 was written off.

I've also got a nextbase hd duo, does front and rear perfectly. There's a small reflection of the dash, not really that noticable.

Would post a pic, but this forum doesn't allow it.

I use a blackvue and previously roadhawk hd, both in front and rear without any problem, positioned behind the mirror to the left just below the line of the wipers, as others have said, there is reflection from the dash but not a problem.

I use a Vantrue N1 and I've had it for over a year without any issues.
