Parking assistance error

 Hi just got parking aisstance error. Too rear bumper off and no luck all wires intact. Took sensor off quick clean but again no luck.
Question I have is if one sensor is messed would it knock the full system into error mode hence none of the four sensors would function or would other three work and fualty would not.

And secondly would there be something else the xuase like sensor ECU that causes issue hence then am I correct in saying need a machine to diagnose.

And lastly do new or used sensors need any form of programming to make them work on our car or is it simply plug and play.

 Right so tried everything too all wire loom covers off no issues no corrosion. The sensors come on and off intermittently. Any idea what's causing it? Anyone? Reverse switch? But the reverse lights up work though.

The boot detachable torch's not working now though ,any link?

 Update got new sensors still same thing. The system works for few seconds screen comes with car diagram then again faulty error message. Parking sensors ECU? Anyone??))
