Hello all So my car is currently on 21.07.16.32_NAC-r0 - and my maps on V10. I haven't updated for a while so thought it was about time to do so. Went to the Citroen website, - Click Here - entered my VIN and low and behold there was a new firmware version. 21.07.67.32_NAC-r0 Downloaded it and followed the usual instructions, USB FAT 32, license in license folder with no capital L etc. When I put it in and start the engine I get the error Version not compatible with hardware. Tried different USBs, formatting, etc. Does this mean the website is wrong and my car does not have updated firmware? Is it because I have missed a version? I know with the maps you use to have to make sure you updated versions in sequence. Is it something else/user error? Anybody with a 66 plate C4 updated to this firmware at all? What version are people on? Am I asking too many questions? Many thanks in advance. Wayne. |

Are you downloading the update to a Windows or Mac system? My Mac appears fine with the firmware, although I found you have to extract the update to the Desktop, then copy(rather than move) the SWL folder to the USB Stick will work. The Map updates don't like Macs at all in my experiencel, so after several tries, I downloaded that update to my wife's Windows Laptop and it loaded in without a problem. Hope this helps? |

@waynieoaks There's a new firmware version available to download. Try that version instead. |

The license key needs to be at the root level on the USB and NOT in its own folder. So the USB top level should show the:- SWL folder (with the update in it) and, in my case, the file license_0D011B1519D4E6B6C650_001315031563976162.key |

Direct from the Citroen web site and the "How To" PDF file... Citroen wrote ... 3. Copy the licence into the "Licence" folder within your USB stick. The screenshot here shows the recommendations from the Citroen web site. |

Key file definately goes in Licence folder because Citroen says so. If you read the c4owners equivalent French site, there is a long discussion about the key file. Cars with the built in SIM card / connect package will grab the keyfile over the air, at the start of a firmware upgrade, so a lot of French enthusiasts have concluded the USB copy of the key file will only be read if it is in the Licence directory. If it is anywhere else, the USB file will be ignored and the key file will be downloaded over the air by the car. |
